The Seven Wonders of The World

Perhaps the best designed most informative and beautiful Competition on the web was the Seven Wonders of the World. Its founder, creator and supporter,Tony became seriously ill and the site was closed down. I shall miss him, my team mates and all the lovely people who made it what it was. Please pray for Tony & his wife. Dianne, they are very special people.

Ths page was my dedication to the Stonehenge team, I leave it up in fond memory of The Seven Wonders of the World.

In days of old we raised the Stone.
Broad backs bent, with tears of bloody sweat
Following the vision, guided by eternal wisdom
We searched and found, Dragged them cross hard ground
Chests heaving, hearts pounding through the endless day
. We planted them deep in a sacred way



Oh you who never know true night
You who make stone huts bright,
Your chariots run on cobbled roads.
Your machines carry heavy loads
Can you ever know, the dreams we knew,
As the henge grew and grew?
Do you look , do you ponder
On this our stone age Wonder?
5 thousand years ago with vision and stone hardened hand
We raised the stones and changed this green land.
